Abandoned Competitions

The competitions on Saturday 9th and Saturday 16th were both abandoned because the course was closed.

Saturday 9th September
The course was closed shortly after the third group completed their round. As there were so few competitors returned scores the competition was cancelled.

Saturday 16th September
The course was closed shortly after the 9:21 group completed their round. As over 65 members returned score the competition will be converted to a sweep with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each section and 2’s paid out. The scores returned will not count towards the Davidson Cup. Instead this will be re-arranged as per below.

Saturday 23rd September
The plan, weather permitting, is to hold two competitions on Saturday 23rd September. The Davidson Cup for all members and the Sam Heaslip Memorial for those members in the top 25 of the Order of Merit.

All members who paid an entry fee after 9:21 will be entitled to a free week.

Winter League 2017 / 2018

Saturday Winter League

Entries
£10 entry – place money into envelope, write your name on the outside and place into Match & Handicap
Closing Date for entries Saturday 7th October 2016 [May be extended depending on the league start date]

Start Date
The league will start on 21st October if we are still lifting the ball on the 7th October. If we are back to playing the ball as it lies or lifting on the fairway only the start of the league will be pushed back to the 4th November. So a lot will depend on the weather conditions over the coming weeks.

Format
Members entering the league will be split into two sections; each playing a separate nine hole course each week.
There will be an indiviudal and four man team competitions with best 2/3 of scores will count towards trophy.

Tee Times
Members who do not enter the Winter League will not get a fixed tee time on a Saturday. You are still welcome to enter the competition each week and fill any gaps left on the start sheet.

Sunday Winter League – Starts 1st October [18 Hole]
Best 2/3 of scores will count towards trophy

Midweek Winter League
The league will start on 9th October if we are still lifting the ball on the 7th October. If we are back to playing the ball as it lies or lifting on the fairway only the start of the league will be pushed back to the 6th November. Once this league starts members can enter the competition any day Monday to Friday.

60 Plus Winter League – Starts 2nd October [Over 14 Holes]
Best 2/3 of scores will count towards trophy
Handicaps will be adjusted every 4 competitions once the Saturday Winter League starts.

August 9 Hole League

The September League starts this Tuesday 5th September and runs through to Thursday 28th with the winner guaranteed a £30 prize voucher.

The winner will be the member with the highest three score returned; there is no limit to the number of times you can return scores during the month.  In the event of a tie the winner will be decided based on the highest two or one score returned during the month.  If this does not decide the winner, then the £30 voucher will be split between the remaining tied members.
