Golf Centre Membership

As the Golf Centre remains closed under the current Covid restrictions they are NOT able to take payment for the Golf Centre Membership fees until they re-open. In the meantime they have sent out a message via BRS to say …

We wanted to wish you a Happy New Year and let you know that as we don’t anticipate reopening until early February, we have extended the cut off date for the Discounted Membership Offer until 20th February 2021.

Competition Vouchers

Members wishing to use their competition winnings against their Centre Membership Fee can request a voucher using the following link: https://greenacres-golfclub.co.uk/members/request-forms/

The voucher will left at reception shortly after the Centre Reopens.

Competition Vouchers can not be used against the separate Golf Club Membership Fee.

Centre Update

Although the course remains closed due to current restrictions; the Golf Centre Staff have continued to work and have started their winter improvement programme.

With tee boxes identified as a priority by the Golf Club work was carried out late December 2020 on the 4th and 15th

4th tee box on 30th December 2020
15th tee box on 31st December 2020

Amendment: Work has also started on the 14th tee box with the fence removed; path widened and the tee box built up.

Competition Divisions

When there are enough entries, we pay out two divisions for our midweek competitions. Currently the split is based on handicaps up to 14 and then 15 plus, which goes back to the time 28 was the maximum handicap.

With the switch to WHS Match & Handicap reviewed the handicap indices of all members and have decided to change the competitions to

Sunday & Midweek
Division One – Up to 20
Division Two – 21 and above

60 Plus
Division One – up to 23
Division Two – 24 and above

Saturday
This exercise will be repeated nearer the start of the summer competitions but based on the current start sheet
Division One – up to 14
Division Two – 15 to 20
Division Three – 21 and above
